Ovarian Cancer Awareness Teal Lights Campaign

In honor of September being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, many prominent buildings an landmarks across Massachusetts turned their exterior lights teal, the official color of ovarian cancer awareness, to help educate women about this often misdiagnosed disease. Organizations that turned their exterior lights teal displayed a poster in their lobby explaining the change in color. Buildings included: - Adobe Systems, Incorporated

- Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Light Blades (Wharf District)
- TD Garden
- Verizon IMAX 3D Theater at Jordan's Furniture
- Westin Boston Waterfront

The Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA.

The Prudential Center in Boston, MA turned their exterior LED lights teal in September 2011.

The TD Garden (then the BankNorth Garden) turned their lights teal in support of Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

The Hyatt Regency Boston Hotel supported Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA

The Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in Boston turned teal for Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy supported Ovarian Cancer Awareness month by turning the light blades teal in the Wharf District.

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts was one of the first buildings to turn their exterior lights teal.

OvarianCancerAwareness.org is a coalition of 3 member organizations dedicated to fighting ovarian cancer. The Coalition began in 2000 and has continued to work together to increase awareness of ovarian cancer. Coalition members include: The M. Patricia Cronin Foundation to Fight Ovarian Cancer, The Dana-Faber/Brigham & Women’s Cancer Center, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

These organizations have come together to work toward a common goal: increasing awareness of ovarian cancer.
